Dr. David is the author of the children’s book, “Dentists are Monsters.” The story is told through the lens of Tony, a newly erupted tooth. Soon after joining the mouth, Tony begins to hear frightening rumors about the dentist from other teeth. For example, is it true that dentists wear masks because like dragons they can breathe fire? It is only after Tony confronts the dentist himself does he learn that the rumors are untrue!”

Dr. David hopes that Dentists are Monsters can help make children comfortable visiting the dentist and set the table for a lifetime of dental health. Dentists are Monsters helps parents teach children that many of the perceptions causing a fear of the dentist just are not true. Visiting the dentist doesn’t need to be scary and can often be rewarding. In practice, Dr. David aims to able to make each individual patient comfortable. He hopes that Dentists are Monsters can help spread the message to a larger audience that we dentists shouldn’t be feared.
